About Me

I'm married to the lovely David (who is the Chaplain at St Peter's school) and we have one beautiful daughter Molly who was born in 2005 and is a pupil at St Thomas of Canterbury School. We're quite new to the parish as we moved to Merrow in August 2010 but have been hugely encouraged by the warm welcome we have received.

I have had many years working for the Church in some form or another - parish worker, retreat centre director, youth worker, and in training roles with both young people and adults - and I hope to share that with the people here at St Pius X. One of the exciting things about learning more about our faith, especially when we learn it together is that every part of our life, not just our Sunday worship, is made better. The more we pray and learn together, the more visible God becomes and slowly together we make the world a better place.

What do I do in this role? Well I'm co-ordinating some of the sessions we are doing together on the New translation of the Roman Missal and getting to know people and hopefully working out together how we do this Catholic stuff better!

If you spot me around please come and say ‘hi’ and if you have ideas of how we can grow and develop as a parish then just let me know.

Sarah

The Parish Open Meeting

This is held three times a year and is the forum where all people of the Parish can meet with the Parish Pastoral Team and the Moderator, or one of the associate priests, to reflect on, discuss, and decide upon issues of common concern pertaining to all aspects of the life and work of the community.
